Yorke Peninsula Football League is set to host a round of football on the weekend of AFL’s magic round next year.
While the 2023 minor season will commence on its usual start date, it has emerged that the governing body of football in the Yorke Peninsula is gunning to secure a weekend of football during the AFL’s magic round concept, which South Australia will host, now known as ‘Gather Round’.
In other news, two local girls have been selected to represent the region in the SA Under 18 Girls Academy, with the prospect of playing in the national championships in February now a strong possibility.
