Yorke Peninsula man killed in crash on EP

A Yorke Peninsula man died in a single-vehicle crash on the Eyre Peninsula last night.


A passing motorist noticed the crash on Balumbah Kinnard Road, Kielpa, west of Cleve, at 9 pm on Wednesday and alerted emergency services.



Local police, paramedics, CFS and SES crews rushed to the scene, but sadly, the driver, a 42-year-old Wallaroo man was found deceased at the scene.


Initial reports say the man sole occupant of the Toyota station wagon which is believed to have rolled over.

Major Crash investigators attended the scene overnight and are investigating the circumstances of the fatal crash.


The man's death is the 83rd life lost on South Australian roads so far this year. The road toll at the same time last year was 71.
