An Afghani man has died near the town of Swan Hill in Victoria, after falling from a trailer close to the intersection of Reserve Road at around midday on Monday.
It is understood the 70-year-old man was taken to hospital after falling from a trailer that was being towed by a tractor and died shortly after.
The driver of the tractor stopped at the scene to render assistance.
The accident occurred on a stretch of rural road near the Victoria/New South Wales border.
WorkSafe Victoria said on Wednesday afternoon that the death is the fourth workplace fatality for 2022, three more than at the same time last year.
There were 13 tractor-related deaths in rural Australia in 2017.
