Police conduct western Riverland cannabis raids



Waikerie Police have 54 cannabis plants from several properties in the Waikerie area of the South Australian Riverland following raids on several properties last week.


Police searched a Golden Heights property and found seven cannabis plants growing. A 56-year-old man was reported for cultivate cannabis.


A further search at a Waikerie property uncovered a single cannabis plant, resulting in a 51-year-old man was issued with an on the spot fine for cultivate cannabis.


Another Waikerie property search revealed two cannabis plants, dried cannabis and illicit drug equipment. A 38-year-old man was reported for cultivate cannabis, possess cannabis and possess equipment.


Police searched a Boolgun property where police located ten cannabis plants. A 51-year-old man was reported for cultivate cannabis, shown below:



Lastly, police visited a property at Sedan and found 34 cannabis plants, dried cannabis and illicit drug equipment. A 64-year-old woman was reported for cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis and possessing related equipment.



The three men and one woman will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
