WINE INDUSTRY GRANTS OPEN

Applications have opened for a new $10 million round of the Federal Government’s Wine Tourism and Cellar Door Grants Program, supporting Australia’s wine and cider producers.

Eligible producers can receive grants of up to $100,000 for cellar door upgrades, new tourism experiences, workforce development and business growth.

The funding comes as the Government increases ongoing support for the wine sector, with the Wine Equalisation Tax rebate cap rising from $350,000 to $400,00 from July first.

Agriculture Minister Julie Collins says the higher rebate cap will provide eligible wine producers with up to $50,000 in additional support each year.

She says the latest grants will help producers invest in their businesses, improve visitor experiences and support regional economies.

Since coming into government, the Albanese Labor Government has provided more than $105 million to support the grape and wine industry, including measures aimed at strengthening its long-term future.
