Two arrested for Theft in Peterborough

A man and a woman have been arrested after police located stolen property in their home in Peterborough last week.

On Wednesday 17 November, police from Peterborough, Boolaroo Centre, Gladstone, Burra and Yunta attended an address in Peterborough to locate a man wanted for outstanding warrants.

Police located the man hiding in a bedroom and he was arrested without incident.

During the arrest, three trail cams were sighted in the premises that were believed to have been stolen. Police reviewed the stored footage on the trail cams and identified that they had been stolen from a nearby address.

Police subsequently searched the Peterborough address and located large amounts of property, believed to have been stolen during recent break-ins and incidents of theft in the area.

A 33-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman from the address were arrested and charged with unlawful possession, theft and being unlawfully on-premises.
