South-East take on Northern in Country Carnival final

Undefeated South-East will do battle with Northern today in the final of the South Australian Country Cricket Carnival at Karen Rolton oval.

The South-East has won all three matches so far. They were too good for the Yorke Peninsula on Monday, winning by 7 wickets.


On Tuesday South-East outlasted the Eyre Peninsula in a tough clash by 38 runs. Their path to the final was confirmed yesterday with a thrilling 1 wicket win over Fleurieu & Districts.


Northern started their carnival with a win on Monday over the Eyre Peninsula by 60 runs before going down to Fleurieu & Districts on Tuesday by just 2 wickets. They stamped their ticket to the final yesterday with a fighting 12 run win over Barossa and Light.



Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Fleurieu & Districts and Barossa and Light all finished with one win each and will play positional clashes on Park 25 Ovals 1 & 2 today.


Fleurieu & Districts will take on Yorke Peninsula on Park 25 Oval 1 with the Eyre Peninsula going up against Barossa and Light on Oval 2. All matches will get underway from 11am with the final to be broadcast via the Frogbox platform.
