STATS THAT MATTER: Brisbane's horror record at the MCG continued as they slumped to a 13th loss from their past 14 starts at the grand final venue when they were upset by the young, rebuilding Hawthorn. The Lions' only win at the MCG in the past nine years came in last year's semi-final with a stunning triumph over Melbourne. Meanwhile, Port Adelaide extended their club-record winning streak to 10 games by beating the Western Bulldogs.
TRIBUNAL WATCH: Hawthorn captain James Sicily and Richmond forward Rhyan Mansell face multiple weeks on the sidelines after being sent directly to the AFL tribunal for rough conduct. St Kilda's Dan Butler will also head to the tribunal after electing to challenge a one-game charge of rough conduct against Sydney defender Nick Blakey. Marcus Bontempelli had no case to answer for his high bump on Dan Houston.
