Big wins were the order of the day in Pinnaroo and Border cricket with two teams copping major hiding in their first outing of the season.
Lameroo returned to action after a forfeit in round one, taking on home side Pinnaroo. Lameroo won the toss and batted first and were quickly skittled for only 87. Pinnaroo's Keough was the man with the ball who did most of the damage, finishing with figures of 5 for 12 from 7.5 overs.
In reply Pinnaroo went into T20 mode, smashing the Lameroo bowling to all parts of the township. Hawthorne was the only wicket to fall, making 63 from just 37 deliveries. Wurfel was in a similar hurry, smashing an unbeaten 56 from 40 deliveries.
However, it was the Vogt show for Pinnaroo. He plundered the Lameroo bowling to bring up three figures in the 23rd over, finishing unbeaten on 106 from just 63 balls with 12 fours and 5 sixes. After Vogt's century was reached the Pinnaroo boys decided to call it quits at 1 for 244 after just 23 overs.
In the other A grade match of the day Murrayville batted first against Parrakie and was bowled out for a competitive total of 154 in the 40th over. Crane top-scored for Murrayville with 43 while Stephenson was best with the ball for Parrakie finishing with figures of 5 for 37.
In reply, Parrakie called time on their innings in the 35th over a 6 for 183 with Sherman and Werner both recording half-centuries.
