Public voting is now underway to decide the finalists in the 2026 South Australian Agricultural Town of the Year Award.

The annual award recognises regional communities that demonstrate strong agricultural leadership, innovation and community spirit, while celebrating the role farming continues to play across the state.

Ninety-one towns have been nominated this year, representing regions from the Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula through to the Riverland, Limestone Coast and Adelaide Hills.

The award is coordinated by the Department of Primary Industries and Regions in partnership with Solstice Media, with the top ten towns decided by public vote before progressing to the next stage of judging.

Finalists will submit written applications outlining their contribution to agriculture, regional development and local leadership, before three towns are selected for on-site judging visits.

The winning town will be announced later this year at the South Australian Regional Showcase Awards, receiving statewide recognition, promotional opportunities and community celebration events. Voting remains open until the third of June.
