South Australia Police say a man will face court today after a firearm and weapons (pictured above) were found in his car this morning.
At about 2.30am Wednesday, South Australian Police attempted to stop a Holden sedan on Murray Street in Gawler.
Police allege that the driver failed to stop and a short time later the car was located parked on a verge on Main North Road, Willaston, with front end damage.
The learner driver was still in the car which appeared to have crashed into a roundabout.
Police searched the car and located a Winchester sawn-off shotgun with the serial number ground off, four large knives, knuckle dusters and stolen number plates.
A 30-year-old man from Angle Vale was arrested and charged with a number of serious traffic and firearms offences along with unlawful possession.
He has been refused police bail and was due to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
