The Adelaide 36ers announced Montrezl Harrell will return for NBL26.
Harrell initially arrived as an injury replacement last September, but the club was able to retain the experienced big man until the end of the season and has now re-signed him for another campaign.
He fast became a fan favourite for his powerful play and engagement with supporters.
The 201cm power forward averaged 20.5 points per game along with 9.3 rebounds and two assists, going on to be named as part of the All-NBL Second Team.
36ers General Manager of Basketball, Matt Weston, was thrilled to welcome Harrell back, saying “Montrezl is a unique piece in the NBL with his size, power and overall skillset”.
“There’s nobody like him in this competition and we saw it first-hand last season, he’s hard to stop.”
At 31, Harrell boasts nearly 550 games in the NBA and was named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year for the 2019-2020 season while playing for the LA Clippers.
Harrell joins recently signed import Bryce Cotton on the roster, as the 36ers have made clear their intentions of pushing for a drought-breaking championship in the 2025-26 NBL season.
The 36ers now have one remaining roster spot to fill.
