Grain producers in South Australia and the Mallee region of Victoria are being encouraged to attend a series of free Harvester Setup Days from September 24 to 26, hosted by Mallee Sustainable Farming in partnership with the Grains Research and Development Corporation.
The hands-on workshops will be held in Carwarp, Loxton, and Lameroo.
The events will feature expert-led sessions on reducing harvest losses, setting up for harvest weed seed control, fire prevention, and optimising machinery for improved grain quality and storage.
A strong focus will also be placed on safety and best practice maintenance ahead of the 2025 harvest.
These workshops offer growers the chance to learn from harvester specialists, agronomists, and local producers, with opportunities for questions and on-site demonstrations.
Coffee vans and catering will be provided at all locations, and attendance is free.
Organisers say the sessions aim to help growers maximise returns by improving efficiency and minimising grain loss in what is expected to be a highly competitive season.
