A Victorian man who says he lost his job due to his faith is now philosophical about the circumstances, but wants to stand up for religious freedom by running for an upper house seat in the 26 November state election.
The resurrected party's South East Metro region lead candidate Lee Jones told Flow on Monday:
"Six years ago I was succesfully running a digital organisation and got fired because of my faith. Speaking on the need to reform religious discrimination laws, Mr Jones said:
"When the premier of the state weighs in like he has done, he's kind of saying, I don't really care whether the laws are there or not. For my money, what they're saying we don't care about the real law, but the moral law - you must go along with our ideologies."
