The three finalists for the 2026 South Australian Ag Town of the Year Award have been announced, with Burra from the Mid North, Cummins on the Eyre Peninsula and Waikerie in the Riverland progressing to the final round.
Now in its eighth year, the award celebrates the strength and vitality of South Australia’s agricultural sector, recognising towns that embrace their farming heritage while demonstrating innovation, foresight and community spirit.
The finalists were selected after independent judges assessed applications from the Top 10 towns chosen through public voting.
Judges will now visit each town to assess their innovation, community spirit and contribution to the primary industries sector before selecting the winner, which will be announced at the South Australian Regional Showcase Awards later this year.
