Victorians are being invited to have their say on a new plan to implement the state’s Biosecurity Strategy.

The draft Biosecurity Strategy Implementation Plan outlines actions to reduce the risks posed by pests and diseases such as bird flu, red imported fire ants and varroa mite.

Biosecurity Victoria says biosecurity threats are constantly evolving and require a coordinated, flexible response across government, industry and the community.

The plan sets out key activities, roles and timelines to deliver the strategy’s five goals and twenty priority actions.

More than sixty stakeholders, including industry groups, Traditional Owner Corporations and community organisations, helped co-design the plan.

Public consultation is now open through Engage Victoria, with feedback closing at the end of March twenty-twenty-six.
