The National Farmers’ Federation has opened entries for its annual National Agriculture Day photo and video competition, introducing a new People’s Choice award and a dedicated video category for 2026.

NFF President Hamish McIntyre says the changes will help showcase farmers and rural life, with the theme for this year being Our Farmers, Our Future.

The competition offers $2000 for the winning photograph, $1000 for the top video, and $500 each for three photographic runners-up and the People’s Choice winner.

Voting for the People’s Choice award will take place through the federation’s social media pages, with voting opening from October 21.

Entries close at five PM Australian Eastern Daylight Time on National Agriculture Day - Friday, November 20. The competition is once again sponsored by Syngenta, with five-thousand dollars in total prize money available.

Entries can be submitted through the Ag Day website at agday.org.au.
