Peter Wright of the Bombers celebrates after kicking a goal in the Bombers' match against the Western Bulldogs

A look at round 21 of the AFL season, where the Bombers upset the Bulldogs, and Brisbane thrashed Fremantle.

THEY SAID IT:

"It's a significant win … it's probably one of the better wins we've had. We'll enjoy the moment tonight because those wins don't come around a lot."

- Leon Cameron was full of praise for undermanned GWS after their massive upset of Geelong.

PLAYER OF THE ROUND: Essendon big man Peter Wright produced the greatest match of his 84-game career with a seven-goal haul against the Bulldogs. It played a crucial role in the Bombers' shock 13-point win.

BEAT THAT: Gold Coast's Wil Powell delivered a moment to remember to ice the Suns' win over Carlton. Matt Rowell laid a crunching tackle on Sam Walsh close to the boundary, just inside 50. Powell gathered the loose ball and pulled off an instinctive checkside goal.

STATS THAT MATTER: 71-35. That was the tackle count in Brisbane's 64-point win over Fremantle. The Lions had been down in that area in recent weeks, but they were red hot against the Dockers.

TALKING POINT: GWS star Toby Greene was offered a two-match suspension for a fend-off gone wrong after a high forearm left Patrick Dangerfield with a throat injury, while Geelong skipper Joel Selwood escaped with a fine for a high bump on Sam Taylor. The two penalties sent social media and talkback radio wild. The Giants immediately opted to challenge Greene's ban at the tribunal.

INJURIES: Brent Daniels (GWS, hamstring), Josh Kelly (GWS, quad, replaced in selected side by Matt Buntine), Patrick Dangerfield (Geel, throat), Gary Rohan (Geel, hip), Zach Tuohy (Geel, hamstring), Brandon Ellis (Gold Coast, hamstring), Harry McKay (Carlton, shoulder), Brodie Smith (Adel, concussion), Will Hamill (Adel, concussion), Max King (SK, quad), James Worpel (Haw, foot), Mitch Robinison (Bris, calf), Nathan Wilson (Frem, hamstring), Josh Bruce (WB, knee)

TRIBUNAL WATCH: Toby Greene will contest the two-match ban he was handed for striking Geelong star Patrick Dangerfield. Cats skipper Joel Selwood escaped with a $3000 fine for his high bump on Sam Taylor. Brisbane defender Brandon Starcevich is likely to escape with a fine for his high bump on Fremantle's Matt Taberner.
