70 year old man slain at Sedan in suspected hit-run

A man has been found dead beside Halfway House Road, Sedan after what major crash investigators suspect was a hit-and-run incident.

About 9.45pm on Wednesday 23 February, police and emergency services were called to Halfway House Road after reports of a man lying on the road.

Patrols attended and located a deceased man, a 70-year-old from Angas Valley, on the side of the road.

Halfway House Road was closed to all traffic for a number of hours but has since reopened.

The man’s death is the 10th life lost on South Australian roads compared to 15 at the same time last year.
