Two women have been arrested after stealing copper wiring and tools from Olympic Dam.
Police were notified of suspicious activity near a worksite at around 1.45 am on Sunday.
A Nissan ute towing a trailer was seen by security guards leaving the area, with the trailer filled with copper wiring and tools suspected of being stolen, along with implements used for breaking into premises.
Police later located the vehicle on Olympic Way and Roxby Downs.
The two occupants of the vehicle, a 41-year-old Elizabeth Grove woman and a 34-year-old Elizabeth North woman were charged with numerous offences including theft, unlawfully on-premises and unlawful possession.
They were bailed to appear in court at a later date.
Police urge anyone who sees suspicious activity around worksites or building sites to call the Police Assistance Line immediately on 131444.
