Tragic start to Christmas on South East roads

A man has died following a crash at Greenways, South of Kingston, earlier this week.

At around 3 pm on Tuesday, patrols and paramedics were called to the Princes Highway and Konetta Road, after a black Ford utility left the road and rolled before coming to rest in a paddock.

The driver and sole occupant, a 34-year-old man from Glenburnie, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to the Mt Gambier Hospital before being transferred to Adelaide.

Sadly, the man died in the Royal Adelaide Hospital yesterday.

The man’s death brings the number of lives lost on SA roads to 97 compared with 90 at the same time last year.

Investigations are continuing and anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam of the Ford utility prior to the crash, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au/
