Searches continue for missing people

Police and emergency services are continuing their search for a teenage girl who went missing in the Murray River south of Swan Reach last night.

The alarm was raised about 9.15 pm after the girl was seen to fall from a houseboat into the water and did not resurface. A search of the water was conducted last night however the girl was not located.
Police recommenced the search early this morning and have deployed a number of resources including PolAir and Water Operations officers. SES volunteers are also assisting with a vessel searching the water and members conducting riverbank searches.
A search is also is underway on Lake Bonney at Barmera after two men were seen to take a hire pedal boat out onto the lake at 2 am.
The boat has been located together with an Esky believed to belong to the men however the men are currently unaccounted for.
A search of the lake and foreshore was undertaken by SES throughout the night and will continue this morning with the assistance of PolAir and local police.
