Agriculture Victoria is encouraging bushfire-affected farmers to access recovery support, as it passes two months since the blazes caused significant damage to agricultural land and regional communities.
Agriculture Recovery Manager Sarah Wallis says many farmers are managing ongoing recovery needs, with staff working alongside local councils and support services on the ground.
She says recovery will vary between farming businesses, with support being provided across livestock management, pasture recovery, water planning and infrastructure repair.
Ms Wallis says staff are also attending community events to provide technical guidance and connect farmers with available services.
Financial support is available, including grants of up to 75,000 dollars for clean-up and reinstatement, alongside concessional loans of up to 250,000 dollars for those affected by major losses.
The Rural Financial Counselling Service is assisting with applications and financial advice, while wellbeing counsellors are also available to support farmers and families.
