By Jessica Dempster
Nominations are now open for the 2026 South Australian Grain Industry Awards, with Grain Producers SA calling on growers and the wider grain industry to recognise outstanding contributions across the sector.
The awards will be presented at a gala dinner at Adelaide Oval on Tuesday, February 2, 2027, with more than 500 people expected to attend.
Six award categories are open for nominations, including Grain Producer of the Year, Young Grain Producer of the Year, Sustainability, Innovation, Women in Grain and Industry Impact.
Grain Producers SA Chief Executive Officer Brad Perry says the awards have quickly become a major event on the grain industry calendar.
“If someone comes to mind, take the time to nominate them. Don’t assume somebody else will do it,” Mr Perry said.
Self-nominations are also welcome, with each category carrying a cash prize and Hall of Fame inductees to be recognised at the event.
Nominations close on Friday, October 30, with finalists and early-bird tickets to be announced on Monday, November 16.
