Australia’s sheep and wool sector is entering a new phase of sustainability reporting, with fresh leadership appointed to guide the national framework.

The Sheep Sustainability Framework has announced five new members to its steering group, following an extensive recruitment process.

Renata Paliskis will take on the role of Chair, bringing experience in natural resource management and supply chain sustainability.

The framework plays a key role in measuring industry performance across environmental, animal welfare, economic and social indicators.

New members represent finance, supply chain and producer perspectives, reflecting the full breadth of the sector.

Incoming Chair Ms Paliskis says transparent and credible data is increasingly vital for maintaining market access and industry confidence.

The refreshed group will now focus on strengthening data quality, reporting and engagement, as global demand grows for evidence-based sustainability credentials.
