South Australia police report that a man has been charged with attempted murder after a domestic incident in Clare last night.
About 7.10 pm on Thursday 8 April police were called to a home in Clare after reports of a violent disturbance. When police arrived they found the victim, a 39-year-old woman with a stab wound to the neck, and a 42-year-old man with stab wounds to the abdomen.
Both parties are known to each other.
The victim was taken to Clare Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The man was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries where he remains.
He has been charged with attempt murder, threats to kill and aggravated assault.
The accused has been refused bail and was due to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday via bedside hearing.
