Mallee growers will have the opportunity to hear the latest research and agronomy insights this month, as Mallee Sustainable Farming launches its 2026 Research Update series.

Running from late February through to mid-March, the program will deliver nine events across Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales.

Five Research Updates and four Pre-Seeding Workshops are scheduled, with a clear focus on helping growers turn regional trial results into practical decisions ahead of seeding.

The sessions will bring together researchers, advisers and industry specialists to present findings from both trial sites and paddock-scale work across the tri-state Mallee.

MSF Communications and Extension Manager Sarah Day says the aim is to provide growers with region-specific information they can apply with confidence.

She says increasingly complex seasonal conditions, soil limitations and ongoing input pressures are making informed decision-making more critical than ever.

A strong emphasis will be placed on de-risking early season choices, particularly around crop selection, inputs and soil management.

The update series is expected to draw solid interest as growers prepare for the 2026 season.
