Livestock Industry Welcomes $8M Future Forward Fund

By Jessica Dempster
Livestock SA has welcomed the State Government’s $8 million Primary Industries Future Forward Fund as an opportunity to support practical, industry-led projects.
The four-year fund will support priorities including innovation, sustainability, workforce development, market promotion and preparedness for emerging challenges.
Livestock SA Chief Executive Travis Tobin says the breadth of the fund will allow industry to pursue investments that deliver the greatest value for producers.
He says livestock producers are managing changing production, market, environmental and business pressures, and the fund can support initiatives that strengthen long-term productivity and competitiveness.
Mr Tobin says alignment with the SA Red Meat and Wool Blueprint 2030 would provide a sound strategic foundation, while allowing flexibility to respond to changing industry needs.
Livestock SA says the strongest projects will be shaped by industry needs, with clear benefits for producers and practical pathways for delivery.
