GRDC Launches Independent Performance Review

The Grains Research and Development Corporation has begun an independent performance review, as required under its funding agreement with the Federal Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

The review will assess the organisation’s performance across five key areas, including stakeholder engagement, research and development activities, collaboration, governance and monitoring of outcomes for levy payers.

Independent consultancy GHD has been appointed to undertake the review, with findings to be provided to both GRDC and the department before a final report is published later this year.

GRDC says the process is an opportunity to demonstrate the value delivered through grain research investments and identify areas where further improvements can be made.

The corporation is encouraging grain growers and industry stakeholders to provide feedback through an online consultation hub or directly to the review team.

Submissions close on June 30, with the final report and GRDC’s response expected to be released on the organisation’s website in late 2026.
