Australian Dairy Farmers is continuing its push for greater transparency in milk pricing, as the industry moves into the 2026–27 season following the June contract negotiation period.
The peak body says many producers have now finalised agreements, but argues complex pricing structures are still making it difficult to assess the true value of milk offers.
ADF President Ben Bennett says incentive payments and penalties remain a concern, and says the issue goes to the heart of the Dairy Code of Conduct.
The organisation is calling on regulators, including the ACCC, to review pricing practices, and is urging farmers to seek independent advice where possible.
