A new project is helping Eyre Peninsula livestock producers build more resilient farming systems in the face of a changing climate.
Â
AIR EP has launched its Climate-Ready Livestock program with support from the Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board and the South Australian Government, running through until mid-2027.
Â
The initiative will provide workshops, case studies and practical resources covering water security, feed management, animal health, farm technology and livestock marketing as producers contend with drier seasons, rising input costs and volatile markets.
Â
AIR EP Executive Officer Naomi Scholz says the project will equip farmers with the knowledge and practical tools needed to strengthen long-term productivity and improve decision-making under increasingly variable seasonal conditions.
