APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR NATIONAL BEEF LEADERS PROGRAM

Applications have opened for the next intake of Cattle Australia's National Beef Leaders program, aimed at developing the next generation of leaders across the nation's grassfed beef industry.

The program is open to people aged between 21 and 35, with participants to receive leadership training, governance and policy experience, media skills and opportunities to engage with key industry and government decision-makers.

Cattle Australia Chair Garry Edwards says the initiative is an important investment in the future of the sector, helping young professionals build the confidence and networks needed to take on leadership roles.

The 2026-27 program begins at Cattle Connect in Wagga Wagga this October and also includes a week in Canberra next year, where participants will gain first-hand exposure to the parliamentary and policy process.

Applications close on August 16, with successful applicants to be announced in October. More information is available through Cattle Australia's website.
