Anzac Park Warracknabeal $7m makeover on the cards - if Andrews loses

An incoming Liberal-National coalition government would spend $7 million upgrading Warracknabeal's sporting hub.

Member for Lowan and Deputy Leader of the Nationals Emma Kealy met with representatives from Yarriambiack Shire Council and user groups to announce the funding, which will dovetail with Council's current master plans for the site.

The funds would enable council to redevelop the park’s community centre and build new changerooms and amenities, including umpire changerooms and a first aid room. Council also plans to redevelop the pool kiosk and the park’s netball and tennis courts, plus upgrade the lighting, toilets and administration offices.

Ms Kealy said the Nationals were backing a bold vision for Anzac Park:

“I am proud to stand with (council) to help bring this important project to fruition. Sport is part of the fabric of our region and plays a major role in bringing people together, which is why quality sporting facilities are so important.
“The Nationals are committed to supporting grassroots sport in rural and regional Victoria and ensuring our communities have first-class facilities.
