Aldi has once again been crowned Australia’s best supermarket for fresh fruit and vegetables, securing the top spot in Canstar Blue’s 2025 Most Satisfied Customers Awards for the fifth consecutive year.
The discount supermarket received five-star ratings in four out of five key categories, including freshness, variety, and overall satisfaction. It was the only retailer to score a perfect rating for both freshness and value for money.
Aldi’s group buying director for produce Matt Atley said it was fantastic to be rated number one by Aussie shoppers for the fifth year running.
He said that Aldi’s commitment to sourcing 97 per cent of its fruit and vegetables from local Australian growers plays a big role in delivering freshness and affordability.
“Our shoppers know they’re getting great quality produce at prices that make a real difference every day,” he said.
Canstar Blue spokesperson Eden Radford said fresh produce remains a priority for Australian families.
“Spending on fruit and vegetables is up 26 per cent since last year, with the average household now spending $49 a week in the produce aisle,” she said.
Aldi has topped the fresh produce category in Canstar’s customer satisfaction rankings every year since the award was introduced in 2021, and continues to lead the pack for affordability and quality.
