Riverland Turf Cricket A grade

At Loxton Oval, the home side won the toss and elected to send Berri in to bat first. Only 3 Berri batters made it into double figures with Brad Rosenzweig the best of them, finishing with a well made 60 from 97 deliveries. Berri was bowled out for just 133 in the 35th over with Albrecht and Hoffman both taking 3 wickets for Loxton.


In reply, Loxton's run chase was anchored by Ben Hoffmann who remained unbeaten 72 from 73 deliveries. Hoffman's wonderful knock helped his side to a comfortable win, reaching the target in the 27th over to win by 7 wickets.


At Waikerie, Renmark North won the toss and sent Waikerie Ramco in to bat first. It didn't go well for the home side with only Valentine (23) and Paschke (212) getting into double figures. They were bowled out for just 70 with Steed and Kenyon both taking 3 wickets for Renmark North.


In reply, it took Renmark North openers Townsend (39*) and Jackson (30*) less than 16 overs to reach the target.


Murray Towns cricket A grade

At Mypolonga, the home side won the toss and elected to bat first against Monarto. The top side found the going tough against the disciplined Monarto bowling lineup and was dismissed for just 121 in the 41st over. Aaron Zrim top-scored for Mypolonga with 38 with Hansen taking 3 wickets for Monarto.


In reply, Monarto struck early trouble at 4 for 17 before Jarrod Lienert joined Ty Pfeiffer at the crease. the pair put on a 5th wicket partnership of 35 before Zrimm removed Lienert (15) with the score at 52. Wickets continued to fall and when Pfeiffer (45) fell to Wrigley with the score at 9 for 89 the top side and taken Monarto's best shot. They would lose their final wicket just two runs later to be bowled out for 91.


At the Showgrounds, Wanderers won the toss and elected to bat first against Jervois. It was slow going in the bowler-friendly conditions with Jervois restricting Wanderers to 8 for 136 from the 45 overs. Fidge and Gilgen both top-scored for wanderers with 29 with Wohlschlager and Schutt both taking 2 wickets for Jervois.


In reply, Jervois openers Gilmore and Penhall patiently saw off the new ball. The openers took the score to 79 before Penhall lost his wicket to the bowling of Rigby for 25. fellow opener Gilmore fell soon after for a well made 45 and from there, wickets tumbled. In a frantic final over Jervois would fall just 3 runs short of the target to finish their innings at 7 for 134.




At Tailem Bend, the visiting Mannum won the toss and elected to bat first. A total of 7 Mannum batter made it into the teens with the bat but no one was able to go on and make a big score. The Mannum batting lineup battled their way to a total 160 all out with Hancock top-scoring with 22. McDonald was the best with the ball for Tailem Bend finishing with figures of 4 for 30.


In reply, Tailem Bend was unable to build any significant partnerships and lost wickets at regular intervals. They were bowled out for just 100 in the 33rd over with Lachlan Thomas top-scoring with a well made 30. Mannum opening bowler Josh Hancock was the best with the ball returning figures for 4 for 12 from 6.1 overs.

Millicent and Districts Cricket A grade

At McLaughlin Park Oval, Millicent won the toss and elected to bat first against Townies. Millicent finished their 40 overs at 9 for 182 with Sam Hunt top-scoring for Millicent with 37. Smart was the best with the ball for Townies taking 4 for 32 from his 8 overs.


In reply, Townies top order capitulated to be 4 for 6. Smart (21) did his best to help revive the innings but it wasn't enough with Millicent dismissing Townies for just 72 in the 24th over. Opening bowlers Cushion and Todd both picked up 3 wickets for Millicent along with Sam Hunt who finished with figures of 3 for 8.
